Dear SmartBrain Staff:
When I learned about the development of the new home program, I was thrilled beyond words. The idea that the administration of the treatment could be completed at home without all of the travel was such a gift. The system was the only way we would ever have Play Station in our home...my boys were thrilled!! When I think of the cost of the system and project it to the cost of the treatments…the treatment cost continues to fall as the number of treatments continues to climb. The system, while it had a learning curve, is very easy to set up and run. We are at the point, now, where my sons help by logging the date and turning off the system.
My eldest son is 14 years and is diagnosed with ADHD with impulsivity, OCD and bipolar. Treatment for bipolar was not possible at the time that the office-base program was in provided. My son took three medications, with multiple changes, still not achieving satisfactory results. He required constant reminders to get to his schoolwork and complete it. It was not unusual to find that he had wondered away from his books and was then engaged in one of his hobbies.
Homework took hours to complete. He could not remember details related to assignments. Reminders were needed on an intense basis to complete regular hygiene. He had been identified as a child with multiple learning disabilities. We actually put him back a grade in Math, due to the fact that he did not demonstrate and adequate understanding of the material.
Now, many months later, I stand in awe at the accomplishments of the last year. My son is now a Black Belt in karate, after taking a 300-question test and writing a 1000 word essay. He is a consistent B, who is now motivated to complete his schoolwork in a timely manner. He is at grade level for Math. His standardized test scores jumped and are much more reflective of his learning abilities rather than his disabilities. He practices his instrument, without the frequent reminders of the past. He is much better in his personal hygiene. He shows a level of maturity that is on target with his age. He has a part-time job, watching the home, plants, animals and mail of a neighbor. His general mood is more even- tempered with less variability. He has completely come off of one medication and is reduced on one medication by 50%. The neatest part of it all is that he still has the zany side of his personality with all of his creativity and enthusiasm for life that ADHD kids have!!
My second child is 11 years old and diagnosed with ADHD with impulsivity and hyperactivity. He had a difficult time falling asleep. His handwriting, despite 8 weeks of occupational therapy was delayed for his age and illegible. He strongly resisted assignments requiring any type of sentence composition. His math scores in standardized tests fell because he resisted showing his work on paper. Reading was a task. On the rare times that he would read for enjoyment, the book he chose was well below his reading level. It was always very difficult to come up with gift ideas because he has never shown a strong interest in anything on a consistent basis. He NEVER enjoyed any fine-motor activities, such as working with Lego, puzzles, and car models. He had difficulty making and maintaining any friendships.
He is a different child, a year later. He wrote a creative story that was two-pages, double-sided, and typed. His first report card for the school year was straight A's. His handwriting is now legible and he is using cursive. I had a list of ideas for his birthday and Christmas, and they included books. He read four "Harry Potter" books in about 6 weeks. He picks out books at the library. He created “his own” vehicle with Lego. He received a car model for a Christmas...and assembled it with some help from his brother. For his birthday, he was allowed to take some pals to the movies. I needed to put a number cap on his list. He is falling asleep easier and I have to wake him on the weekends, when he sleeps in. He is still the sweetest little fellow with the funniest sense of humor.
My household is much less stressed as activities of daily living are moving along, as one would normally expect. Both boys come and ask for their "Brain Games Time", especially before tackling a big task, such as a test. Teachers have commented about the noticeable changes and improvement in their work. The program is outstanding!!
I highly recommend the program. Everything about it makes it a win-win situation, from the cost, to the lack of travel for treatment, to the convenience of the program. The results are thrilling!! To see one's child accomplish goals that were once so unattainable is the greatest gift that this program gives to families.
Signing off as one very grateful mother,

Dear CyberLearning Technology:
We are writing you today to share with you the success our family has experienced using your SMART BrainGames Technology (SBG), and to express our appreciation. About a year ago, our son, who is now 10, began using your SBG system. Our son had been diagnosed on the autism spectrum 7 years ago, and after many helpful interventions he is now considered very high functioning. However he still had had some remaining troubling symptoms, which more resembled those of attention deficit disorder (namely distractibility, poor concentration and focus, poor memory). As his parents, we were looking for a safe, non-pharmaceutical approach to addressing these remaining issues. After much research, neurofeedback had attracted our attention. We were impressed with the numerous studies we had read that showed neurofeedback as providing significant improvements in the areas we were concerned with. But the cost for traditional in-office neurofeedback was prohibitive to us. That is, until we learned of your organization, that provided all the benefits of in-office neurofeedback at home, and at a fraction of the cost. Your system's use of popular children's video games was an added plus, since our son was known for becoming easily bored with repetitive exercises or therapies.
Our son took to this technology right away! He still eagerly looks forward to his "training" sessions, while we were and are pleased that he is having fun while undergoing "therapy". Within a few months, we noticed several positive changes in his behavior. He no longer took an hour to complete his math assignments. Before neurofeedback, our son could be found staring into space, zoned out, while his math workbook sat in front of him untouched. I needed to verbally prompt him repeatedly to get back to his work. He had begun to hate math, (a favorite subject), because he couldn't seem to keep his mind focused on what he was doing. All of that is now completely gone. He now starts and completes his math assignments with diligence and accuracy, often saying, "This is easy! I'm done already!" I never need to prompt him any longer. This benefit has carried over to his other school subjects as well, such as handwriting, grammar, and test-taking. Although he had always been a good student and quite bright, our son is now overall more conscientious and enthusiastic about his schoolwork. School is a pleasure now.
But positive school habits were not the only benefits we've observed over the past year of neurofeedback training. Our son has also now become more self-aware; a trait that many on the autism spectrum lack. He is currently learning to recognize and understand his own emotions, and is beginning to show signs of self-regulation; an important developmental skill. Prior to neurofeedback, our son was prone to temper tantrums or other disagreeable outbursts whenever he became upset or frustrated. These extreme behaviors are largely a thing of the past now. As he has become more aware of his feelings, and what they mean, he has and is continuing to learn that he can control his impulses and make better choices. It is encouraging to watch our son mature in these important areas.
Thank you for providing a means of improving our son's current quality of life, and increasing his future potential. We look forward to seeing more breakthroughs in our son's development in the months to come. We also wish to express our appreciation to your organization for providing a neurofeedback system that ordinary families can use in the convenience of their homes, that is affordable, fun, non-invasive, and that works! Your product has renewed our hope for our son's future.

Dear CyberLearning Technology:
I have two sons, ages 11 and 12 1/2, who are have been using SBG technology since November of 2005. My husband and all four children and I have benefited in many ways from the use of this technology.
Prior to this technology we traveled a total of 4 hours a week for a total of 50 weeks over 1and 1/2years. Training time amounted to close to 100 hours over the same time period. Neurofeedback training at home has given us back time. Training at home has provided much flexibility in scheduling training time. At home we can judge on any given day when is the best time for the child. It has always been the goal to optimize conditions of rest, nutrition, and personal stress for the child so that there training can be maximized. We can do this so much easier at home, instead of trying to work around office schedules.
In doing traditional neurofeedback in the office we paid per training this added up especially with partial or no insurance coverage. Now with SBG, we can afford to financially keep training. This has been such a blessing when one can see the positive results and know that finances will not limit further training. Imagine taking insulin away from a diabetic when we know it helps them have control in their life. This is how we felt prior to SBG's technology.
As a parent with two out of four children with ADHD it is easy to feel powerless at times. It is easy for the children to feel the same. SBG's technology and the ability to train at home have given us a sense of control over our lives and more. We feel that we can learn to change, improve and actually live productive and happy lives. All this has been done in a positive way. How exciting it is for four kids to know that it is okay to identify their problems and not get in trouble, but to learn to say what and how I can learn to live with this. It has been encouraging to us all when all members of the family from parents to a six year sibling can notice changes in behavior, improved abilities to do school work and function appropriately in a group.
The above benefits have such value to us and to any others using this technology, but none surpasses the emotional, intellectual and physical positive outcomes that we have experienced in our family. The potency of this technology (whereby we can train several different brain waves and different parts of the brain) has caused amazing changes in our two sons.
Our oldest (all four are home schooled) has needed extensive help with 85% of his schoolwork. I had to be physically sitting beside him to keep him on task and still it was a battle to keep him focused. Not only was staying attentive a challenge, he exhibited very poor memory. He was quick to pick up mathematical concepts, but a day later he would forget how to use the concept. A year later he organizes his schoolwork, stays focused, comes to me for help and is 85% independent and with a goal to be more independent next year. His self confidence has improved whereby he is no longer timid to try something. He has played soccer since he was six and loves the sport, but was never successful in scoring. After 3 months of SBG training, he scored 9 goals in six games and then went onto be seen as a leader on the team in the spring and fall teams this year, despite being one of the youngest on the team.
In the past he was very argumentative with a tremendous reasoning ability and this made healthy discipline very difficult. Today he is quick to apologize and then desires to discuss the incident to share his viewpoint and to understand ours so that we can learn and move beyond the issue and know better how to handle it. It is a delight to have a mature conversation with a twelve year old! Despite all this he has retained his fun loving mischievous side that makes him who he is.
Our second son has benefited as well from SBG's technology. His needs were similar in some ways, but different in others. His main need was for emotional stability. He was a very angry and sensitive child and yet he was very caring, generous and concerned for others. These latter qualities were difficult to see because of multiple anger outbursts throughout the day. When trying to reach out and help him through these breakdowns he would emotionally push us away and not let anyone in or even say" I don't know!" Through SBG Neurofeedback training he now is willing to identify, acknowledge and discuss any difficulties he has. He will "let us in emotionally" and now can find the words to put behind his feelings and emotions. He is getting along with siblings. He and his eight year old brother are great buddies; there were like oil and water prior to training. They hated being roommates and now want to be roommates.
As a young child he basically taught himself to read and enjoyed reading. Two years ago reading became very difficult and unpleasant for him. We found out that his brain was becoming sleepy when he read and he could not sustain the attention he needed. This was hard to believe since he has a great memory and works hard and does not walk away from his work. With the SBG Technology, we were able to address this issue while we were still addressing the emotional lability. Like my oldest he too retains his personality. We all get to enjoy his comical antics, but with more pleasure because we see a happier, kinder, calmer child. What once was a child with many thorns is now a child blooming. In general our family life is happier, calmer, and more positive. We are living and enjoying the benefits of ADHD instead of being weighed down by the negatives of ADHD. Since the SBG training, many will compliment our boys on their maturity, and good behavior.
I have not mentioned the kids' biggest comment! "It is so much fun...We get to do playstation and play games!" One's biggest battle of trying to get a child to work on something has completely been removed. "Mom can we do SBG today......please!"
We have highly recommended SBG to many others citing many of the above stories and reasons. We feel that we have given our children wings without side-effects from medication. They have confidence in knowing and accepting who they are. The last benefit we are thrilled about is that these positive changes will probably not go away if we slow down or stop training, whereas with medicinal intervention the same claim cannot be made. If our children were on medication they may some day want to stop medication whereas with SBG they have a gift for life; changes that would probably stay for lifetime.

Dear CyberLearning Technology:
We are writing about our experience and perspective using your SmartBrain Technology after about seven months of use.
For the past three years my family has been highly stressed over the behavior of our son. The daily interactions were not peaceful and he seemed to struggle more than most his age in many areas of his life. Independent observers and teachers commented that he seemed to have a form of ADD. We were discouraged and not enjoying the time we spent with him. After discussing this with a good friend she recommended the SmartBrain Technology System. when our son was 13, we invested in this technology hoping for much needed changes.
We had noticed a visible and dramatic improvement in her son’s behavior over the course of several months. Our son was given to frequent, explosive tantrums resulting in anti-social behavior. He was also extremely sensitive to comments or perceived slights. He had difficulty starting and finishing his homework. He commented daily on his inadequacies and was frustrated irrationally in just about every endeavor. When discussing behavioral episodes he seemed to not recall them the same way everyone else did. It was very difficult to have a reasonable conversation with him and at the end of the day we were often frequently emotionally exhausted from the effort to smooth things over or get to the heart of any problem. It was impacting every area of our lives, including my husband’s performance at work and my daughter’s ability to study for school.
The SmartBrain Technology is truly an expert system. With very little orientation and only referring to the extensive manual as needed, our system was up and running. We only needed to know rudiments of the equipment care and troubleshooting. The equipment itself teaches our son the rest of what he needs to know while he enjoys video game play. For 45 minutes every other day, our son sits in front of the TV at home, with his helmet on, interacting with the Playstation and his brain waves. Although it took close to three months before noticeable changes began to take place, gradually, and without us understanding how this was working, we began to notice changes, and our son noticed changes too. First, the frequency and duration of his tantrums lessened and when they occurred he even began to aologize for his behavior. He is more self-sufficient, has a better sense of humor, is more responsible, and is fun to be around again. He also accepts "No" answers more readily without arguing or falling apart.
Lest you think this is subjective on our part, there have been people outside of our family who have noticed positive changes in our son and commented on it. Other families in our situation who would like to try a non-invasive, non-drug approach to behavior modification should definitely look into this. There are no labs to attend; it is all done in the privacy of your own home. This technology is very powerful because it allows the person using it to tap into how they can best manage their own difficulties.

Dear CyberLearning Technology:
I wanted to write this letter to you, because I wanted to let you know how much your program has helped by daughter, Jennifer. Jennifer was diagnosed with ADD in first grade and was immediately put on medication. She could not sit still in school and was unable to learn to read because she just could not listen. During the first part of first grade.
I really thought she would have to be put in a special school. If she hadn't been put on meds, in January, she would have really slipped behind all the other kids and would probably have had to repeat first grade.
Even after being on medication, Jennifer had a hard time learning and making friends. She could never seem to make lasting friendships. It always seemed like her friends were trying to avoid her when she would call them. I can't tell you how devastating this was for Jennifer and I.
By the time she had reached the end of 6th grade, I had decided to look for an alternative to meds and found out about your SmartBrain Technology. I took her off the meds at the end of 6th grade and started your system in October of 7th grade. By January she was a totally different person. She was able to do her homework on her own and follow through with projects. The thing that I noticed the most about her was her attention to detail. She finally started paying attention to her hair and clothing and began to care about keeping things neat. Her handwriting had been horrid and she began writing and spelling properly.
However, my husband and I have noticed the most change this year. She went from being a child who never received any phone calls, to a child with a best friend, a boyfriend and tons of friends calling her every day. I sit there amazed watching her talk on the phone, at the same time that she is talking to five people on the Internet from school. She is out all the time now and just seems like an ordinary teenager. Girls who rejected her in elementary school are now recognizing her and calling her on the phone.
I can't scream "THANK YOU" loud enough for the whole world to hear. This is a wonderful technology and I will always be grateful to you for curing my daughter of ADD.

Since Matthew was four years old his teachers told us that he had trouble "staying on task". He was evaluated by the township and a well known neurologist for A.D.D. He was never given that diagnosis but was described as a marginal case. Because there was no hyperactivity the thought of medication was never an issue. Even with tutoring, and despite being described as a bright child, he struggled because of his inability to focus. Then we heard about the SmartBrain Technology. We were quite impressed with the presentation and were especially attracted to the program because it was non-invasive. Matthew began a full schedule of trainings in the fall and finished in the spring, before beginning of third grade.
His teachers this year were unaware of his previous attention problems and his use of the system. When we had his first semester meeting, the teachers were confused by our obvious focus on Matthew's attention difficulty, because they saw none. In other words, Matthew wasn't simply improving with his ability to focus. He wasn't having a problem focusing at all. His report card was very good. We were ecstatic!
The program was a wonderful experience. We are truly delighted at its success. We give it our highest recommendation!
Thank you for everything you do!

Dear SmartBrain Technologies:
I wanted to take this opportunity to give you an update on Tom's progress since he finished his neurofeedback SmartBrain training.
One of Tom's goals was to be off of his medication. He did succeed with this goal, however after school started his grandfather passed away, which gave him a small set back and we started medication, but only 1Omg, once a day.
Another one of his goals was to improve his grades. He is doing much better in school, we went from straight F's last year to B's & C's. He still is improving, and getting better at doing work more on his own, with fewer reminders. I know because I don't get calls from the school regarding missing assignments anymore, and they were coming on a daily basis last year.
The last goal was to improve his self-esteem. This is coming along well, now that the grades are better, and he is able to finish tasks without constant reminders. I don't here him say, -I'm just stupid-, anymore, and when I tell him I know he is capable of doing well on his assignments, he actually agrees with me.
Tom and I want to thank you for all the help and confidence you were able to give him. Keep up the good work and best wishes to all of you.

Dear CyberLearning Technology:
Last year was a year we would like to forget!! Second grade was extremely difficult for our 8 year old daughter. Maggie was struggling with organizational skills and focusing. After being tested by the school plus a private psychologist, we were told she had ADD (without the hyperactivity.) These professionals, including the second grade teacher told us to give her a low dose of meds and she would do very well. As a parent with a medical background I was amazed at the speed at which these professionals gave this advice. We told them that we felt this was a "quick fix" and although there may be some children who benefit from medication that this decision or "recommendation" was made far too hastily! Upset we decided to pull her out of public school and put her in a private school with smaller classes.
Needless to say, at eight years old she was not happy about leaving her friends and we were in sticker shock from the tuition prices! Feeling very frustrated one day I heard a NASA Discovery Channel piece on a local station about SmartBrain Technology. I had heard it countless other times but ignored it thinking it could never work. Although we felt it was impossible I decided to investigate. Still not convinced but curious, we decided to try using the technology. Through our investigation we determined that there was a high probability this could help our daughter. Although skeptical, we decided to try it and started last July.
September came and we held our breath for the first 3 weeks of school then scheduled a teacher conference. Her 3rd grade teacher told us she was an above average student academically and her organizational skills were great. Maggie was a little nervous in class and asked a lot of questions but we contributed that to our 2nd grade experience. The school year got better and better and we were amazed at her progress. I volunteer on Thursday mornings to help with math and I saw her organized, focused and had her hand raised for every question. Did someone switch kids on us or what??!!
Now that we are finished 40 trainings, we can look back and understand that Maggie’s success was a combination of using the SmartBrain System and her teacher who fit her needs. However, we do feel if we had not used this system she would not be doing as well as she is. We are no longer skeptical about this program and would encourage anyone faced with similar problems to at least attend the seminar. Professionals such as teachers and doctors will tell you that only medication will work. They are so wrong! As a nurse I can say first hand that most doctors will not acknowledge something without sufficiently understanding themselves and they do not always take the time to do so and teachers seem to be too overwhelmed to take the time to learn things that can help a child in need. Our elementary school has now seen two children successfully go through using this system and one child midway who is making progress. These teachers now refer other parents to us to talk about it!
One teacher, still skeptical (but that's O.K.) told me she felt the program was not as fast working as medication and more costly than medication. I asked her to think about how little time it truly takes to see improvement when you think about a life time potential success for a child. I asked her what happens to these children in their teen-age years when they do not want to take this medication anymore. I asked her if she could watch her own children suffer from side effects of the medications. I asked her as a parent and an educator to put a price tag on success. She did not seem to have much to say after that!
We thank you for helping our daughter. You helped restore her happiness, self-esteem and success with your program. The staff cares so much and was always there to answer our questions. You always made us feel special. Our daughter never wants to stop using the video game system!

Dear SmartBrain Team:
Our son, Yale will be eight years old in a month. One year ago we discovered your program and decided to explore this modality. Yale is a very bright child with good learning capacity, but has a very dreamy nature to him, what is often referred to as "undifferentiated attention deficit".
We were very pleased with all of our contact with you from the beginning. We appreciated the comprehensiveness and efficiency in answering our questions and making us feel confident about Yale using this neurofeedback technology. Yale has been very excited from the beginning about using video games to help him feel better and help him to improve his ability to focus on his homework.
One of our main goals was to give Yale the ability to do his school work and homework with greater clarity and focus with less distractibility. His teachers have reported that he is able to stay on task much more easily. We have found that when we say "go into SmartBrain mode", he is able to switch into gear effortlessly. He now has such control! Increasingly, he is clearly able to focus independently on his homework.
Your technology is amazing and we refer everyone to you!
Our greatest appreciation,

Dear SmartBrain Technology:
My family and I want to thank: you for our experience with your program! From the first phone call on, we were always treated cordially and with caring and concern.
Our daughter, Janet, who had just completed fourth grade, had some difficulties staying focused and with attention in a large group in school and was impulsive and had problems sitting still at home. She had trouble completing homework on her own and within time limits. She has never been identified at school as having special needs. Emotionally she was feeling that she didn't have many friends. Since she has always been very social, this concerned us. Now she was experiencing some serious issues of self-esteem. I had heard about your program through a coworker and decided to get more information.
We were hesitant to think of medication, without some further interventions. Therefore, after doing some reading, we proceeded with the use of your system right before she entered fifth grade.
We decided to wait to inform her new teacher about the program until we got some feedback from her. When we met for our conference, she was surprised to hear of our concerns. She reported that Janet seemed motivated and attentive in school, although she did mention that she called on her often to keep her on task. She was completing homework with little difficulty.
As the school year progressed, Janet was completing work on her own, had made some new friends, and was receiving very positive report cards! Janet has now completed 40 trainings and has learned that hard work can bring satisfaction!
We have seen Janet mature so much through using your system, and Janet is more prepared for the challenges middle school will bring in the fall!
Thank you for everything!

Dear CyberLearning Technology:
What a difference your SmartBrain System has made in Jannie's life! I can't thank you all enough!!
After starting her training, her self-esteem improved almost immediately. She's calmer and seems much happier with herself; even her choice of friends have improved, along with the way she's being treated by her peers!! The program has changed her whole life--and ours as a result!!!
Her judgment is so much better; she thinks things through more now and pays more attention to detail.
Before we used to have to remind her several times to do her homework, now she does automatically without even being told once!! Staying on the Honor Roll is not near as much of a struggle.
She used to need two alarms and five wake up calls from us to get up in the morning for school; now she gets up on her own and she's out the door before we're even awake!!!
Thanks to your NASA technology our lives are a whole lot easier now and our daughter has a much better chance to becoming a normal adult!!!
With much gratitude,
